He often applies the theory of literature which he agreed with to the creative writings. As a novelist, what he concerned is the social problem. His campus trilogy—namely changing places: A tale of Two campuses, Small world: An Academic Romance and Nice work represent the peak of David Lodge's literary creation. The campus trilogy focus on the campus and reflects the reality of post-modernism society.This thesis tries to make a thorough analysis on the expression of indeterminacy in the campus trilogy. The thesis is composed of four parts.Part one is an "introduction". This part aims to give an introduction of indeterminacy after a brief survey of the study on campus trilogy and point out the meaning of indeterminacy in this thesis.Part two analyzes the indeterminacy in narrative structure.
