Research On Tactual Design Of The Product Hard Interface

The hard interface of product is the basic element in product design. And most of the tradition products are through hare interface to interact with users. As the development of science and technology, the contents and methods of HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) are enriched continually. On one hand, these new interactive ways which applied for interface design showed the designers concerns of technology. On the other hand, user lost the intimate contact and communication with product gradually, because of the neglect of the sensory experiences and humanistic care. As we know, the experiences of visual and aural which supplied by hard interface cannot meet the needs of user. So we need more tactual experiences. The skin is extremely sensitive sensory organ, and the experiences tactual can enhance the performance, the use of feelings and emotional content.The topics based on ergonomics and cognitive psychology. I will through the two subjects to discuss the tactual experiences in hardware interface design. On one hand, from the point of view, "people", I analyzed the perceptual characteristics and information transmission of tactual, in order to tell designers the importance of research on people in the whole design process and the way to design for people's tactual experiences. On the other hand, from the point of view, "product", I researched the form of tactual perception, the material characteristics, the materials technology development and application of skin feel feedback, and so on.
