Social anxiety, as one of common sentiment problems of college students, which is defined as the performance of the negative sentiment when a person communicate with other people or performs in front of people, which impacts on the individual's social interaction activities to a certain extent the negative impact of emotional distress. Social anxiety of college students has a significant impact on human relations, academic achievement, a sense of achievement or mental health. Many studies have shown that there are wide factors which led to social anxiety of college students including both external environmental factors and individuals of the main factors. The negative life events are the important reasons which cause emotional problems such as depression etc. Many domestic researchers proved that there is a significant correlation between life events and communication levels in different groups, which shows that individuals living in the environment experienced negative life events is an important incentive reason leading to a social anxiety. Mark R. Leary (1995) and others believe that self-esteem can be used as monitor of human relations, low self-esteem will reduce the individual communication ability to adapt to the environment and easy to form and show obvious interpersonal sensitivity to enhance the level of social anxiety. Therefore, we can come to the conclusion that there is significant relation between the level of self-esteem and social anxiety. And self-esteem is the psychological mechanism that individual adapts to the social and cultural environment and the experience and understanding which individual reflects on the individual's own living environment in the event. As an important element of self-awareness, its formation, development and change have a significant relation with the life event of their environment. Adverse effects arising from negative life events of individual experience can harm and reduce the level of self-esteem of people and good response generated by positive life event can improve the level of self-esteem. Meanwhile, high self-esteem is able to raise the adaptability which individual adapts to the environment. The study above showed that there are close relations between college students life events, self-esteem and social anxiety, but because of life events and college students self-esteem are significantly related with social anxiety and life events are also significantly associated with self-esteem, which shows that self-esteem and life events do not affect social anxiety Level completely independently. There are many researches on the relation s between social anxiety of college students and life events and self-esteem, but there is no study on psychological mechanism which explored comprehensively from both life events and self-esteem to social anxiety of college students. In this paper, we firstly did a detailed study on all foreign-related social anxiety, self-esteem, and life events and analyzed the problems in the field. On this basis, using the theory the introduction of "social anxiety of college students by external factors - the main life events and individual factors - combined effects of both self-esteem"as assumptions , we further explore the internal mechanisms life events Self-esteem affecting social anxiety on the basis of study on the basic characteristics of college students. In this study, we used 830 college undergraduates of LiaoCheng University for studies, and we used the survey method.
