Pre-Qin's Conception Of Heaven And Man & Value Of Ecological Ethics

In traditional Chinese culture, the relationship between Heaven and Man had a long history, dating back to the Shang-Zhou Chronology period. In this period, the relationship between Heaven and Man was religious. With the development of social production, the relationship between Heaven and Man evolved from the religious meaning of the relationship between Heaven and Man. Lao Zi, Confucius, Mencius, and other thinkers had more in-depth thinking about the relationship between "Heaven" and "Man". Mencius in the main advocated of "Unite of Heaven and Man" of thinkers, thought of the concept of " the people's love extended to all things "in the idea of"Unite of Heaven and Man". This thought based on the exact cognition on the law and the coordinated development of natural environment. This was existence wisdom to pursuit a symbiotic and co-existence between nature of human which indirectly protected the ecological balance. Xun Zi in the main advocated of the " Separation of Heaven and Man" Thinkers, put forward a "Use the Destiny" to give full play with initiative and enthusiasm. Man was not only confined by the natural world, but can create a better living environment under the laws of nature.With the rapid development of modern scientific and technological revolution, increasing of social production and human cognitive capacity, human social life has been dramatic change continuously. There has made gratifying achievements in the process of human conquest nature. At the same time, these also brought a serious crisis of survival and the survival difficulties increasingly. This has made people have to re-examine the relationship between Heaven and Man which is a very real and important philosophical questions. As a result, combing and thinking the wisdom and the relationship between Heaven and Man which come from Chinese philosophy, we can learn to understand the importance of great significance of theoretical, in order to correctly the understanding about the relationship between Man and Nature, and to achieve the unity of Human and Nature. In Pre-Qin Dynasty, thinkers have been conscious of ecological awareness, and they preliminary understood the relationship of organism and environment. There has a lot of things in common between the traditional Chinese concept of Heaven and ecological ethics of modern Western. This has great significance in guiding and theoretical value in today's world, to construct modern ecological ethics and solve environmental pollution, destruction of ecological balance and other issues which caused by industrialization and unrestricted to conquer nature.
