Research On The Visual Elements Of The Science & Technology Museum Display Design

The Science & Technology Museum is a special activity of science information transmitting which regards modern science and technology as the theme. The emphasis of the activity is to make the information transmitting quickly. Vision plays an important role in the process of science information transmitting and aesthetic taste, so it is necessary to research on the visual elements of the Science & Technology Museum display design which are the mediums of science information.This thesis applies the visual psychology to analyses the function of the visual elements which are form, space, color, light, and material of the Science & Technology Museum display design. And then according to the characters of the youth and children, it refines the tendency of visual elements. Combining with a larger amount of examples, the thesis analyzes the effects of the visual elements to the scientific, theme introduction of the Science & Technology Museum display design. Finally, basing on the research into the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum and combining with the Guangdong Science Center, it promotes the conceptual methodology and detailed theory aiming to the visual elements in the Science & Technology Museum display design. At last, it introduces the Gestalt Psychology into the detailed theory and forms the expressions of underlined information, introductive information and innovational design.In the last chapter, this article applies the detailed theory in the case of Guangdong Science Center.
