The Application And Research Of Audience Museum Interactive Display Design Based On The Psychology Of The Audience

As of today, there are more than27,000museums in wide varietiesaround the world. The total number of museums in China has reached3,020,with Beijing ranking second in the world after London. Modern MuseumExhibition and Design is a multi-disciplinary course consisting of knowledgeand skills from communication, sociology, psychology, ergonomics, aestheticsand other fields, and it has a characteristically comprehensive nature. It is afield that requires expertise in appearance design, environmental design,graphic design, and the ability to design various forms of communication.This paper is based on the theories of environmental psychology. Theauthor utilized the Museum Audience Psychological Needs Survey as thetheoretical basis for research, and analyzed various factors such asenvironmental impact, social psychology, and psychological feelings of shapeand space. The author concluded that different psychological factor result indifferential impacts, and examined the relationship between interactive displayand environmental psychology.In this paper, the author investigated Beijing museums based on a numberof criteria and conducted survey. According to the audience feedback,multimedia display technology has been widely used to publicize and display inthe museum in addition to the use of traditional forms of display, and it haspromoted the improvement of the museums. Some designs are committed toeliciting the interaction with the audience.In the meantime, the audience’s feedback also shows that the currentdesign of interactive display also has faced many challenges, such as the lackof attractiveness, underutilization, the lack of interesting content, difficulties toelicit an emotional reaction, monotonous interactions, and complicatedoperations.The interactive exhibition design in museums not only presents the uniqueness of the times, but also fulfills the psychological needs of theaudience in a certain display space. Bringing people different psychologicalfeelings through presenting different environments, the best form of design isachieved.
