Focusing on Ding ling's early stage creation , through the perspective of Urban life of Shanghai at that time, this thesis discuss the influence of urban life of Shanghai to her literal thoughts , writing skill and emotion. More importantly, this thesis attempt to see the career of creation from ample angles, rather than the traditional way of pure analysis of work.The first part of my thesis mainly discusses the motivation of the modernization in Shanghai to shape the consciousness of feminine. These include modern consciousness of freedom in Shanghai earliest germination of new ideas and values, the female division and the new structure of the female caused by social divisions, etc.In the second part of my thesis, I analyze the trace in her novel which germinated from the sentiment of petty bourgeoisie. It has analyzed the key problem of the "Revolution and Love" model which reflected the virtual revolution. In particular, Ding Ling described prostitutes as a focal point, with the same period of life on female alternative descriptions. It also analyzed the changes of the Shanghai ethical concept. The third part clarifies the fashion of new pattern communication in Shanghai and compare Ding ling's life of circle in this background in order to analyze that how Shanghai influence her life and emotion.Ding ling came to Shanghai in1922; the following 10 years and odd since then influenced her whole life and creation .there were so many first time in Shang hai--- her first novel, first met Marxism , first love ,her first periodical ,first in charge of the publication of communist and first practice etc.
