The rapid development of the modern society makes the application writing course more and more important. The application writing course pays attention to training students' wrting skills and application abilities. It is one important means to improve students' compositive diathesis and cultivate the inter-disciplinary talents. The application writing course accords with the cultivation aim of higher vocational education. The aim is to cultivate all kinds of application talents for the development of social economy. It is one important link in the higher vocational education. The level of the application writing of the students in higher vocational colleges can embody their vocational skills. At present, most higher vocational colleges have opened application writing course, but the teaching effect is not satisfying. The result connects with many factors, such as the deficiency of the teacher strength, the fossilization of the teaching concepts and the fact that the teachers pay much attention to knowledge level and little attention to the teaching strategy. How to improve students' skills of application writing and compositive diathesis is the problem that all the application writing teachers in the higher vocational colleges should think about. In order to efficiently improve the teaching effect of the application writing in the higher vocational colleges, this thesis makes a sampling survey on the teaching actuality of the the application writing in Sichuan Vocational and Technical College, anlalyses the existing problems and makes a preliminary attempt and study on the teaching strategy of application writing according to the modern concept that teacher is the leading and student is the main body. This thesis includes three parts besides introduction and concluding remarks.Part one, the connotation and the theoretical basis of the teaching strategy of application writing in higher vocational colleges. It includes the study on the teaching strategy and its connotation; the theoretical basis of philosophy and psychology about the teaching strategy of application writing. Part two, posing problems. It includes the subject properties, the task and target of application writing; the investigation of teaching actuality and problem analysis of application writing of Sichuan Vocational and Technical College.Part three, the main teaching strategy of application writing in higher vocational colleges. It includes the preparation strategy before the class; the teaching strategy in the class; the training strategy; the evaluation strategy.
