Research On The Expression Method Of Product Case Based On Kansei Engineering

Case-based reasoning that takes cases as knowledge carrier is a design solution method which is one of the most popular research projects in both modern innovative design and intelligent CAD areas. The expression of case is the fundamental of CBR. The author takes cognitive psychology and symbolic theory as fundamentals and with the combination of characteristics of industrial design, it proposes the method of expressing industrial product case by using properties such as form, color, material function, and perceptual image so as to confirm the way and content of information expressed by case.In addition, the content in perceptual aspect of product is getting more and more important as fierce market competition. For designers, if they can accurately grab the cognition of the perceptual image of product, it will benefit product fixed position at the beginning of design stage and also ensure that the perceptual image is accurately passed to customers by product. That is why we bring out Kansei Engineering that applies various measure techniques to test the subjective image of product given by customers and objectively quantifies the feeling gained by people when they see product. This research takes the Kansei Engineering and method as fundamentals and uses the descriptive expression of product case image. At the end of this research, it takes case searching and case saving to verify the validity of the expression method of product case.
