Recently, movie industry is developing very actively in china, which can be proved by many facts, such as, the popularity of Chinese big commercial movies, and the development of private movie enterprises. It is because our country gradually unlocked the limitation of movie industry that makes china's movie industry becomes active currently. From 2001 to today, movie industry of china has experienced a series of policy reforms which is beneficial for the industry. Such as, having clearly distinguished movie enterprise from movie department, private capital's application to the investment for shooting movies independently, encouraging the system of cinema-line, separating the authorities of movie's import and issue, permitting overseas movie enterprise to establish or rebuild cinemas in china by cooperating with domestic enterprises. Besides, the department which is in charge of administering movie industry is doing the work of constituting the law of movie and movie's Classification System. All the facts above have well demonstrated that our government has positively altered its role in movie industry and unlocked its strict limitation for movie industry. The development of movie industry has met a relatively free policy and economy environment.However, because the time of industrialization of china's movie industry is very short and the environment of the market for movie industry has not been intact, china's movie industry still unavoidably has a series of problems. Such as, still low degree of marketization of china's movie industry, limited capability of innovation, low level of globalization, limited number of professional person of movie industry and so on. On the other hand, after joining the WTO, china has to fulfill the commitment of opening the domestic movie market for the outside world, and Multinational movie Corporations with mature experiences and ample capital will enter our market and will bring about a huge shock to Chinese movie industry. All this threat and pressure from outside also amplifies the problems of Chinese movie industry. Therefore, study on the operation of Chinese movie industry has become necessary, which is the starting point of this paper's research.Taking the operating mechanism of China's movie industry as the study, respectively from the direction of industrial economics, cultural industries, science, industrial policy, management science, using systems analysis, comparison analysis, theory and empirical analysis, deduction and induction of combination of methods, this paper researches China's movie industry operating mechanism.Chapter 2 of this paper researches the current situation of operating mechanism of China's film industry. Firstly it illustrates the historical change of the operating mechanism of china's movie industry, and then, using the SWOT analysis, respectively analyzes the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of operating mechanism of china's movie industry. Chapter 3 introduces successful experiences of operating mechanism of foreign movie industry. From the sessions of producing, issuing, screening a movie and the industry's the macro environment, it summarizes the experiences. Chapter 4 analyzes three paths for the future development of china's movie industry: collectivization, clustering and internationalization. Meanwhile, using of domestic and foreign cases, it analyzes the three paths, and gives suggestions about operation in china. Chapter 5 is about putting forward operating measures and suggestions for our country's movie industry, in light of China's specific conditions; it puts forward suggestions for China's movie industry from three aspects, namely, the Government's policy, the market environment of industry, and the different sessions of the process of movie industry.
