A Study On The Phenomenon Of Genealogy-Revising Fad In Contemporary Age

Focusing on the phenomenon of genealogy-revising prevailing in west Fujian of these years, this paper concerns the changes in genealogy and its revising by contrast with traditional genealogy-revising cultures, and subsequently provides some new thoughts and comments on modern activities of the lineage on the basis of uncovering the deep causes of genealogy crazy.This paper contains four chapters as following:Chapter 1 makes a brief introduction to the subject-selecting, research related as well as research method and aims.Chapter 2 expounds the process of genealogy-revising generally, including its social context, revising institutions, data -collecting, funds -raising and publication.Chapter 3 compares the making of modern genealogies and traditional ones, distinguisher the characteristics among them and analyzes the underlying appealing of the lineage.Chapter 4 concluding the whole paper from three aspects: the deep reasons for genealogy-revising, the conduct of genealogy-revising and the character of the texts, from this base, the author will deviate the recognition and understanding for the lineage at the contemporary era.
