Research On Dialogue Between Religious Morality And Secular Morality

With the increasing globalization of world, the transition of the society from the traditional to the modern mode, people's values and value orientation have become diversified. And with the growing political, economic and cultural exchanges among various countries, nations, regions and civilizations, cultures and ethics meet and possibly collide with each other. Correspondingly, the dialogue has become a consensus, and religious dialogue similarly aroused the people's concern.Religion is a social phenomenon that exists objectively, and is also a historical phenomenon that widely exists in all nations and countries. As the most valuable part of the religious system, religious morality exists in the religious teachings and canons that conducts the believers. Meanwhile, the dialogue and interaction between religious morality and secular morality can directly influence the public life. Since the emergence of religious morality, it has been constantly adjusted itself along with the constant development and change of society. Religious morality certainly has double features. It plays dual roles, which have positively and negatively affected human society. In the face of the demands of dialogue in a pluralistic society and the social adaptation for religious moral ethics, although religious morality and secular morality belong to different fields, both of them jointly construct the mankind's moral order based on the common moral foundation through the special dialogue.China has entered a new period of socialist modernization, builting socialist harmonious society, and creating socialist spiritual civilization. Religious morality can play a positive role if it is actively guided to adapt to socialist society. Healthy dialogue between religious morality and secular morality can be an entry point into the goal.Firstly, this paper outlines in the value of the dialogue between religious morality and secular morality; introduces the concept of religious morality and secular morality and the dialectical relationship between them. This part has laid the theoretical foundation.Secondly, this paper presents the analysis of the ideological foundation of the dialogue between religious morality and secular morality, common value resources of specific religious morality on the one hand and overlapping relationships of non-core layer from the abstract moral level on the other hand. This paper explains the ideological foundation of the dialogue between religious morality and secular morality though analysis of the difference of the core values layer and the common of non-core values layer from concrete and abstract levers.Thirdly, the paper studies on the concrete realization of dialogue between religious morality and secular morality. The paper states that the goal of the dialogue is to reach the moral consensus; the general four principles to be followed for the effective implementation are voluntary principle, the difference principle, the equality principle and open principle. The paper prescribes specific ways of dialogue between religious morality and secular morality(:一),foster mutual relational and understanding subject of dialogue;(二)reach awareness of dialogue consensus;(三)create relaxed and harmonious dialogue situation;(四)maintain open channels of dialogue. Then, the paper analyses the limits of dialogue between religious morality and secular morality from two aspects, which are the limits of reality and logic.Finally, the paper analyses the necessity and practical experience of dialogue between religious morality and socialist morality from the practice of the dialogue between religious morality and secular moralityAs the innovation of research, the paper Strives to research on the law of dialogue between religious morality and secular morality comprehensively, clearly, objectively and systematically in order to provide a workable, specific way to build the socialist ideological and ethical system.
