In the history of Chinese literature new arts which concentrated on thesubject of Anti-Japanese War and Civil War (1946-1949) emerged in the 1950s and 1960s. Both the revolutionary figures and their fighting lives depicted in literal works of those days impressed readers deeply. In this paper all these arts created in the 1950s and 1960s, targeting revolutionaries as their heroes or heroines and depicting main revolutionary activities, causing great echo in contemporary society as well, are called Red Classics. These Red Classics depended on the characteristics of legendaries and Jianghu Philosophy abstracted from traditional folk culture. Through splendidly depicting and deeply digging them feeling of praising the nation and revolution Philosophy would be expressed. Its success relies on the well combination of serious politics which stand for national philosophy and literature style and content of which people are fond, which start a grand occasion that people read continuously therefore. This paper attends to analyze why Red Classics could dominate the main flow of literature in the 1950s and 1960s and its popularity during the readers and listeners.
