Study On The Transmission Modes Of The Independent Documentary In Chinese Mainland

"The independent documentary in Chinese mainland"that is an important offshoot in the domain of Chinese docunmentary were born in the late 1980's to early 1990's and it has developed nearly 20 years until now. In the time of nearly 20 years, it has went through three stages step by step which include the formation stage,the developmental stage and the maturation stage.Although it is not a shorter period,the scholars who study the independent documentary of Chinese mainland from the view of communication are less,and so are the academic achievements.So in this thesis, the writer mainly sortes out and studies the modes of transmission about the independent documentary in Chinese mainland.There are four parts in all in this thesis.First of all,in the first part of this thesis,it not only explains the connotation of the independent documentary and the characteristic of its different developmental stages,but also compares"the independent documentary"with"the televised documentary","the movie documentary"and"the DV phantom"in the method of comparison analysis,thus the reader can more clearly understand the intrinsic characteristics of the independent documentary .Its intrinsic characteristics include the strong personal sense and the outstanding human value.Secondly, in the second part of this thesis, in the method of video data analysis ,it narrates the main transmission modes and its influenceing factor of the independent documentary in Chinese mainland.The transmission mode of the independent documentary is a huge and complex system,it includes the domestic communication and the international communication.The domestic communication not only includes the personal communication,but also includes the group communication, such as the bars showing and so on ,and the mass communication with a "edge ball playing" . The international communication includes taking part in the international film festivals and cooperating with the foreign TV media and so on. The influencing factors of the transmission modes not only include the the social factors outside the communication process,but also include the communicator factor,the content factor and the audience factor and so on inside the communication process.In addition to the relaxation restriction of the period,the personalized communicator,the ahead of communication content and the traditional audience influen the transmission modes of the independent documentary. Moreover,the limited creation funds and the professional independent documentary also influence the transmission modes of the independent documentary.The kinds of factors make the independent documentary in our country have to choose its own system that is the communication system with"semi-underground"in order to survive in the cracks.In the third part of this thesis,it mainly narrate the passing development and dissemination status of the independent documentary,especially after the"DV"appearance and the"Network dissemination Age"arrival.The"DV"not only expands the ranks of the independent documentary producer and makes it pluralism,but also makes the creation angle and the creation notion of the independent documentary transformation.The transformation of the creation angle is by"elite"to"mass"and the transformation of the creation notion is by"record"to"experiment",the independent documentary has a"diversity"characteristic.And along with the popularization of computer and the arrival of network age,they not only supply a"personal"creation room to the independent documentary producer ,but also expand the communication channels of Chinese mainland independent documentary .In addition,the people also enhance the realization about the independent documentary along with the enhancing of their thoughts level.These development status and development trend that will bring significant influence necessarily to the independent documentary,and to some extent,they will promote its development and communication.Finally,in the epilogue part of this thesis,on the one hand,the writer makes a brief overview about the survival and development status of Chinese independent documentary;and on the other hand,the writer has done a brief outlook on its future development and dissemination status.The discussion of this thesis not only is preserved as an Dokumentation about the transmission modes of the independent docunmentary ,but also can do a theoretical guidance to the development and communication of the independent documentary.
