The Idea Of Five-planet Colors' Influence On The Origin Of Chinese Painting Colors

Looking back to the art history of the Chinese painting in the 20th century, we can find that different stars are twinkling magnificently. Of them Mr.Baishi is a great master of art in the 21st century. His paintings, whatever the composition and the picture boundary, take on Chinese styles. He roots his own paintings in the Chinese tradition, imitating the nature, digging folk custom, discussing the elegant or vulgar union, thus putting the vigorous vitality for the traditional paintings of China.It is very insignificant to purse the master's trail, explore his step to success, know his historical function, study his growth, and find his contribution. And, this will push forward the current cause of art.Either at home or abroad, the research on Qi Baishi has been going on since the 1950s. But, nobody has so far studied the "Naivety shown in Qi Baishi's paintings". This argument just appears simple in some articles. Under my supervisor's instruction, this paper comes from my massive consultation about Qi Baishi's works, versions, and foreign literature. This viewpoint will be demonstrated in the following aspects:1) The charming naivety in Qi Baishi landscape painting includes: the first is"new", Qi Baishi's landscape painting looks like the children's drawings without constraint, but with rich fresh idea regardless of his composition, model, words, spot scenery character and so on,. The second is"simple", Qi Baishi's landscape painting resembles the children's drawings with several simple strokes and clear subject. The third is"clumsy", Qi Baishi's landscape painting looks like children's pictures with freehand and JinShi brushwork, which crate thick and luxuriant features and give us one kind of clumsy feeling.2) The figure paintings of Qi Baishi are aesthetically childlike. First, they are full of childish, his painting "Mu Tongtu", "Song Xuetu" and so on, they conjecture childish psychology nicely with innocent and cute childish innocence. "Wa Ertu", "Bu Daoweng" and so on, although the image of humor, really show their love and hate toward self innocence of the situation. Regardless of that plain virgin interest, either real simple or unsophisticated, we can see his young soul of gold. Second, in concise form. Qi Baishi's figure painting is finished by means of the exquisite brush and freehand brushwork. After reforming his painting reform, he began to pursue another form--- "not intended for full color like" realm, which is quite similar to children paintings.3)Qi Baishi painted flower-and-bird painting innocently. First is his innocence by personification.The prominent characteristic of Qi Baishi's flower-and-bird work is recollection of his the hometown and the childhood repeatedly. From Qi Baishi's pictorial representation, we may see Qi Baishi's personification language, the personification picture, the ideal condition and childlike innocence. Second, child's naive. In Qi Baishi's works, the beauty of child's innocence is not only his simple description, also not the esthetic interesting concept mark, but the vivid object and the mixed sentiment congeals. All this constitutes a lively artistic image, just like the exaggerating technique's utilization in children's drawings. The children often draw what they thought the most important content and the most interesting physical image picture exquisitely, biggest and exaggeratingly. But to other physical image picture, they draw the picture, either small or empty and it even does not come out on the picture. His painting can remind us of the innocence and naivety.The childlike innocence and naive are one characteristic of Qi Baishi's drawing , and people often say that Qi Baishi's pictures are characteristic of'both cultured and popular tastes". For this, people may feel his virgin heart through his pictures of chickens, frogs, tadpoles, house sparrows, mice and so on. People can see Qi Baishi's innocence, his child life and his na?ve.Using his original technique, extraordinary creativity, Qi Baishi has left us a lot of painting works full of naive tastes, so his painting works, both the precious inheritance of both Chinese nation and the East and even the world, will be immortal and significant.
