Network Organization Of Chinese Character

There are many kinds of complex networks in the real world. Members in these systems interact with each other to maintain the system homeostasis, and this is general phenomena in the nature and society, for example, biological food webs, human relationship networks, neural networks in the brain, Internet and World-Wide-Web。Properties of there complex system can be described with complex network theory. Members of the system are identified as nodes in the network , and the relationship between members are identified as connections in the network。It is discovered that global topology of the networks are determined by the local interactions。Among the global properties of the networks the two are astonishing: the so called small-world property and the scale free degree distribution; and these tow properties can disclose the essence of evolution of the complex systems, phenomena of the self-organization and the homeostasis。Language is used by human to communicate with each other; it is also the most important carrier of information。The purpose of this paper is to discover some of the principles of Chinese organization。Chinese is the most used and one of the most historied languages in the world. But there are a lot of difficulties in research of Chinese because of its personality. Traditional interests in Chinese focus on the categorization of grammar, meanings of the words and the frequencies of the words. Although these researches achieved some important success, they met some insurmountable difficulty. In this paper we try to describe the network structure of Chinese language. The main tasks are fourfold: Firstly, I will introduce the development of Chinese language and complex network。Secondly I will introduce basic conceptions and research tools of complex network. Thirdly, I will study organization of Chinese languages by the tools from complex network,and find that Chinese Character network is small-world and scale-free, and the distribution of character frequency is Power-law.
