However, Wei Guangqing has"opened a collective memory space"by picking up the visual form from the Red Wall series during his artistic exploration in 1990s,"he based on the process of contemporary Chinese social realities and tried to abstract the contemporary gene from Chinese traditional culture, with the help of American Pop's artistic method and finally created the cultural pop which possesses Wei Guangqing's individual sign."As it was, Wei Guangqing profited the pop method, appropriated and combined the existed signs, provided us"a valuable example for the research on the aberrance of contemporary west art language in a new statement"by the method of a juxtaposition of present and past images.
