Coordinate Phrases Which Consist of Words and Expressions of Different Form-class(CPDF) are featured with combined items consisting of words from different parts of speech. Nouns ,verbs ,adjectives and their phrases are usually served as the combined items. CPDF are usually marked by conjunctions such as"he(和),yu(与),er(而)"instead of being simply constructed by word order. It is fundamentally constructed on three patterns: N·V,V·A,A·N. According to the structure of constituents, CPDF can be divided into the following three categories: coordinate phrases featured by different words, coordinate phrases featured by different phrases and coordinate phrases featured by the combination of the two; according to the semantic relationship, different coordinate phrases can be divided into the other three categories: the coordinate one, the selective one and the progressive one.CPDF, in essence, belong to the group of balance phrases. However, it is attached with the imbalance which features non-coordinate phrases. Combined items in CPDF are at a long semantic distance from each other. Consequently, less attraction exists among them. Multifunctionality of parts of speech in Chinese creates conditions for the combination of words. Semantic relevance is crucial to the combination of different phrases. The functional consistence between the same coordinate phrases and its direct constituents can not be found between CPDF and its direct constituents. There are at least two direct constituents opposite to one another functionally in CPDF. However, this opposition is unified if we divide the usage of words into basic usage and extended usage.Compared with Coordinate Phrases Which Consist of Words and Expressions of Same Form-class(CPSF), CPDF have their own distinctive characteristics. The constituents of CPDF belong to words from different parts of speech, which are at a long semantic distance from each other. The coagulability of the whole structure of CPDF is weak, the grammatical function of which tends to be weakened. Compared with CPSF, the CPDF have a small amount and low utilization frequency.
