An Investigation On The Usage Of Words And Phrases In Yuncheng Residents' Dialects

Yuncheng dialect is the official dialect in the region of Fenhe River.In the past,the study of Yuncheng dialect was mainly about the aspects of synchronal description and diachronic evolution,focusing on the ontology research of language,including voice,vocabulary,grammar and so on.But with the acceleration of urbanization development and the popularization of Putonghua,the dynamic change of Yuncheng dialect has never been studied.Therefore,in this paper,the specific situation of the awareness and usage of dialect words was investigated by using sociolinguistic research methods.This paper analyzes the differences of the awareness and usage of dialect words and the residents' attitude toward dialects in different social groups,and explores the reasons for these differences.In this paper,the text is divided into five chapters.The first chapter summarizes the current research of Yuncheng dialect and the purpose and significance of this paper.In the second chapter,a brief understanding of the language background,linguistic competence,language learning and language use of Yuncheng residents is introduced through the statistical analysis of the questionnaires.The third chapter minutely investigates the awareness and usage of the residents dialect words in Yuncheng in terms of monosyllable,disyllable and polysyllable,and analyzes the impact factors by cross chi-square test.The fourth chapter analyzes the language attitude of Yuncheng residents from the aspects of the attitude toward transmission and protection of dialect words,the language evaluation and so on;besides,significance of difference about those impact factors is researched by thecross chi-square test.The last part is the conclusion;it summarizes the overall situation of the awareness and usage of dialect words and attitude toward dialects in Yuncheng residents on the basis of the research findings in previous four chapters,and points out the deficiency of this article.
