Narrative Research On Calvino's Novels

Calvino is one of the famous novelists in the 20th century in Italy. In his forty years'writing practice, Calvino researched and blazed a trail with unceasing efforts, and produced many distinctive and stylistic works. The graduation thesis centered on Calvino's idea of narrative, analyzing the narrative characters of his works, combining with the text firmly. Calvino's narrative idea is very complicated, which includes non-linear combination, revealing the essence of fabricated story, pursing the effects of multi-person of narrative, etc. Modern philosophy and modernism trend of thought were the important reasons which help to bring about the formulization of Calvino's narrative idea. Many modern writing skills are used in his novels, such as dramatic imitate, intertextual, piece together, and so on, which induced the practice of the author's narrative idea successfully, and therefore expressed the spirit of modern society.
