Analysis Of Zero Anaphora Of The Report On The Work Of The Central People's Govermont Nearly A Decade

Zero anaphora is one of the means of discourse cohesion in Chinese. Taking Report on the Work of the Central People's Government nearly a decade( from 1999 to 2008) as the language material, through analysis these language material, we summed up the characteristics and the reasons of the zero anaphora in the Report on the Work of the Central People's Government over the past decade. The main features of the zero anaphora include: first, there is more type of antecedents in the zero anaphora.Second, the phrase as the antecedents is usually more complicated which exist in different nested structure. Third, the existence of the predicate of zero anaphora. Forth, the numer of the antecedents is single which relatively concentrated on the topic. Fifth, the form of the zero anaphora is simple. Sixth, a large number of programmable fixed sentence is exist in the zero anaphora.The main reasons include the following: First, the stylized ,written and non-personal nature in the style of the official documents. Second, the parallel in advance of the topic of the pragmatics .
