Although Japan and China are separated only by a strip of water, but about the Japanese in this country, many people are unfamiliar with the mysterious. To understand Japan, the first thing is to understand the Japanese culture. Japanese culture has always been more concerned about academic problems. Previous scholars have published a number of aspects of Japanese culture on the discourse and writings, which has articles written by Chinese people, but also Europe and the United States who wrote the article. However, I found people on the Chinese and the Japanese concept of Europe and the United States A Comparative Study of the article is small, this article is to explore the issue of Dai Ji Tao and the Japanese concept of Benedict the question of similarities and differences. In this paper, three aspects of the Dai Ji Tao Benedict and the Japanese concept of a comparative study, which revealed that this two-person view of the similarities and differences between Japan and its causes. The first section describes the relevant background. This section contains the following three aspects. First, the Japanese concept of the meaning and content, this article referred to " The concept of Japanese " people are referring to the views of Japanese culture. Second, Dai Ji Tao and Benedict on the relevant background. Mainly related to Dai Ji Tao Benedict's childhood and education, knowledge structure, religion and so on. Third, on the " Ri Ben Lun " and "The Chrysanthemum and the Sword" in the context of writing. Mainly related to both the purpose of writing this book, when the background of the times, as well as two more or less the content of the book. The second part of Japan, Dai Ji Tao Benedict concept and the similarities and differences. Selected for this part of Shinto, the Meiji Restoration, the Japanese character in the Japanese culture, such as the three representative questions for a comparative study. For the views of Shinto. Dai Ji Tao that Shinto is Japan's social infrastructure. Concentrated in three areas: First, a blind faith in "God-made country." The second is a blind faith in "divine right monarchy." Third, Dai Ji Tao believe that Shinto is Japan's true religion. Dai Ji Tao believe that Shinto in Japan in the development of the nation has played a huge role, making Japan the Japanese civilization into a civilization of unique characteristics; Benedict Shinto of Japan has recognized the following three points: First, that Shinto is not a religion, is a national symbol. The second is that although only a symbol of Shinto, but the unique status. In her view the State Shinto is not a huge church, but that it is a huge governmental organization. The third is the " the Chrysanthemum and the Sword" to the Shinto shrine in the form of concern over the effectiveness of its practical concerns. For the views of the Meiji Restoration. Dai Ji Tao pointed out that the rise of modern Japan from the Meiji Restoration,. First of all, Dai Ji Tao cause analysis of the causes of Restoration. He believes that the causes of the Meiji Restoration took place, first, there are practical requirements of the times, and second, there are people of faith. He preferred the Meiji Restoration of the internal factors of success. Second, Dai Ji Tao screen that was the main force is the warrior class. For the warrior, he had a particular concern to them. Dai Ji Tao also mentioned by the samurai Bushido, in his view, the concept of Bushido is the feudal system the following food-lu and gratitude. Third, Dai Ji Tao also in Japan after the Meiji Restoration Council conducted a comparative study shows that the Meiji Restoration of Japan, particularly in the political influence of Japan.Benedict also attaches great importance to the Meiji Restoration of Japan's influence. First of all, Benedict believes that the Meiji Restoration in Japan are of great significance in modern history. Second, Benedict believes that the new Meiji government's policy is unpopular. Third, as with Dai Jitao, Benedict believes that the main body of the Meiji Restoration is a warrior, but she is more inclined to think this is a business alliance with the warrior. Fourth, Benedict seems permeated with the hierarchy of the Meiji Restoration has always been. For the views of the Japanese character. In Dai Ji Tao, the characteristics of the Japanese national character is: belief strength, beauty, Shangwu. First, with respect to our beliefs. Dai Jitao Japanese from the religious aspects of the faith is pure, positive, full of vitality, not utilitarian in nature. Secondly, Dai Jitao suicide from the point of view of the true faith of the Japanese. Secondly, with regard to beauty. Dai Ji Tao believe that the true art of the Japanese through life, and reflect the real lives and not of hypocrisy. Japanese high aesthetic standards and the persistent pursuit of the United States and Japan reach in many technical areas of the inner level of the world's leading power. Third, with regard to the army. Dai Ji Tao the martial spirit that the Japanese in Japan to promote social progress.Benedict said: contradictory character of the Japanese character, the Japanese culture is a "shame culture." First, Benedict, through a large number of details and examples of analysis of the Japanese national character with the contradictions. She believes that the dual character of the Japanese focus on the contradictions manifested in the re-TU and revenge on those two things. Benedict believes that education and educational thinking, especially childhood education led to the Japanese inconsistent behavior and character of the contradictory nature of duality. Second, Benedict believes that the culture of Japan vis-à-vis Europe and the United States model is a "guilt culture" in terms of the "shame culture" model. Shame culture to emphasize the external binding. Shame culture of individuals, their behavior is the first consideration for others, the community's own assessment, to be commended for all proud to be ashamed for their exclusion. "Shame culture" in all aspects of the Japanese have had a tremendous impact. Caused by the Japanese care about the reputation of great character, "shame culture" also caused the Japanese lack of a clear non-standard character, makes the Western sense, Japan has no concept of right and wrong. The third section describes the reasons for the similarities and differences and have given us inspiration.Have a reason for the similarities and differences. First, the purpose of writing. "the Chrysanthemum and the Sword" is one of Benedict's was ordered to make, with a specific political purpose, and practicality. And Dai Ji Tao the " Ri Ben Lun " is different, Dai Ji Tao in the book did not make too much of the purpose of writing of this book. It is because of different purposes, leading to different conclusions. Second, personal experience. Dai Ji Tao and Benedict, one is Chinese, one American, one is a politician, one anthropologist, one under the influence of Confucian culture in the growth of a small exposure to Christian culture. It is these different identities and experiences, making the views of two of Japan's significant difference. Third, select the point of view. Dai Ji Tao inclined from a historical perspective, select the Japanese history and culture have a major impact on the development process of the typical examples for discussion, Dai Ji Tao that only the major events in history on Japan's culture will have an enormous impact. Benedict is more inclined from the reality of Japanese society in Japan to select the details of ordinary life, the use of anthropological research methods.Inspiration to us. First of all, Dai Ji Tao and the Japanese concept of Benedict is not absolutely correct, in which an error is inevitable. Secondly, we would also like to see that Japanese and Japanese culture since ancient times in the development of ever-changing. We must develop a historical point of view to look at Japan and Japanese culture. Finally, in Japan, must not forget the humiliation of history, forget the Japanese militarists against the Chinese nation harm. We should always be concerned about developments in Japan, especially the movement of its militarism.
