This thesis makes literature, frescoes, portrait, image as the research materials, and makes China sword dance and its culture as the research subject. The author traces the history roots of the production of sword dance and its political, cultural background. The development of the sword dance reflects the culture, which makes it as the basis points. The author tries to reveal the relationships between Chinese traditional culture and the music dance and studies it by stages and periods.There are five parts in the thesis.Chapter one:introductionThe introduction mainly expounds from the following four parts:first, this selected topic and the research orientation; Secondly, research status and previous research review; Thirdly, the study methods of this paper; Fourthly, the writing ideas and research prospects.Chapter two:sword dance of pre-qin period and its cultureThe sword dance appears as a form of dance and bases on the emergence of swords and fencing. The author starts with the origin of the sword, and explores the transformation process from sword to the sword dance. The combination of sword dance, GanQi dance and sacrificial activities is the reflection of China's unique culture in old times, which has strong reference value to the study of our religion, sacrifice, music dance in ancient times. Sword is one of the main props of witch dance. Sword dance is used to command ritual activities.Secondly, the sword dance is the symbol of momentum and power in the ritual activities, which takes the effect of warding off evil spirits. Wizards held Ganqi to expel evil spirits and eliminate calamity, then wizard culture showed up as a kind of unique cultural form, which gave more and deeper meaning of props in wizards'hands.Chapter three:sword dance of Qin and Han dynasty and its cultureIn Qin and Han dynasty, the sword dance had been widely used for defense, social interaction, entertainment, sacrifice and so on. The performance of sword dance also became plentiful. It had solo, couple dance and group dance. Solo also had single sword dance and double sword dance.At the same time, the represented sword dance performance of Xiang Zhuang and Yu Ji showed up because of the culture of Qin and Han.China has five thousand years of civilization and is known as "formal state". The etiquette is related to many aspects and is a part of traditional Chinese culture, which has a broad impact on the development of Chinese history. It almost permeated China's every aspect down the ages. In this period, the sword and sword dance has become the symbol of power and status.Chapter four:sword dance of Tang Dynasty and its cultureThe Tang dynasty is the most powerful dynasty in Chinese ancient history. The culture of sword dance in the Tang dynasty is the traditional Chinese sword culture. The culture of sword dance is also the best reflection of palace, barracks, folk, culture, religion and culture in tang dynasty. Thus the study of the culture of sword dance in tang dynasty has positive significance.Chapter five:the modern times of sword dance and the contemporary sword danceWhen it comes to the modern and contemporary times, sword dance has made a new height with absorbing the opera, martial arts. The sword dance gives the new brilliance through being refined and processed. Since the founding of the China, sword dance is established and developed with the establishment of the classical sword dance.In 1980s after the birth of Chinese classical dance, training value and cultural value of sword dance has rapidly promoted. The sword dance is pulled to a new starting point, and no matter in the dance plays or theory, it has improved great than before. Especially with the development of science and technology, modern methods are gradually applied into the dance area, which provides convenience for the preservation and research of sword dance. With the great effort of dance workers, the culture connotation of sword dance will make it shine on stage. The generation of Chinese sword dance and its development relate to the relevant historical background, the communication of music dance culture, dynastic change and economic level. It has inevitability.The sword dance formed its own unique culture during the long development process. It has provided valuable material for us to study the art culture of dance. At the same time, we can also see our colorful dance art from the development of the sword dance.
