The piano work "The Second Sinkiang Suite" consists of four movements:The Tarim people,Song on the D string,Nocturne,and Dance of the Eagle Flute.This work was created by the famous Chinese composer Shi Fu in 1976,and it was a work with relatively more nationality. This thesis takes the work itself as the focus of research and bases itself upon the specific morphological analysis.Chinese musical creation has developed into a exploring phase in which the national features and the western modern composing techniques are combined with each other since 1970s.During this period,many natinal composers devoted to natinalize the musical creation. Under the influence,so many excellent works of young and middle-aged sprung up.This piano work got the third prize of Shanghai International Piano Piece Competiton(Midium-Size) in 1986, and both its organization of pitch and harmony material and its disposal of tempo and tonality are worthy to be researched.This thesis have five main aspects of the content.Firstly,it's the overview of the genre of this work;Secondly,it analyzes the morphology of each movement:the well-designed musical scales have their own characteristics,for they originates from the national musical mode but not limit themselves in it.The proceeding of melody keeps the features of national music to some extent, which makes people feel fresh but also close;Thirdly,it analyzes the tempo.During this step,the type and quantity of the tempo,the common tempo style of Sinkiang music,and the effects of tempo on building the artistic image are given a statistic number;Fourthly,it analyzes the harmony layer,and respectively discuss the type of chord,the way of proceeding;Lastly,it briefly analyzes the tonality of the work in which associated mode shape and transfer of tonality movement are involved.This thesis doesn't touch upon musical structure due to the structure of each movement are mainly traditional pattern.As is mentioned above,the thesis analyzes and discusses from several aspects,trying to understand the work more deeply,and understand more about the exploration and innovation of the national development of Chinese multi-sound musical creation.
