Satar?????,a stringed instrument with stringed resonance,is now becoming one of the most important musical instrument of The Uyghurs by its unique sound.Satar?????is called“???”as well in chinese,appearing in literature book firstly shall dates back to The Four Categories,edited and finished during The Qing Dynasty,The Emperor Ch'ien-lung period,which introduced its structure and playing method.Satar nowadays is distributed in the south and the east part of Sinkiang where located The Uyghurs gathering,taking an extremely significant position in Sinkiang Uyghurs'traditional musical culture.This thesis is focusing on acoustic research by using several methods,for example,field investigation,voice collection and experimental analysis,based on former researches thanks to those experts.During researching,these applications below are used:literature study,self-experimentation and self-analysis to state the author's views and acquire basic results.This thesis includes 5 parts:1st part:To introduce the reason,target and meaning of this research,and today's situation of satar and acoustics based on former research.2nd part:An overall statement including the origin,structure,production and string tuning methods of satar.3rd part:To introduce all the soft and hard instruments used during the field investigation.4th part:To introduce the dynamic research including indoor/outdoor experiment and within/without resonant string test by using measuring acoustic software.5th part:To provide self-enlightenment and comprehension based on the experiment and literature-gathering result and to expand methods to inherit and develop satar.
