Study On The Thoughts Of Mo-tse's Moral Intergrity

Mo-tse is a great thinker in ancient China,especially respected by us successors for his great moral integrity.Mohism,established by him was glorious in the pre-Qin days,was called the famous school of thought with comfucianism.Since the emperor ofeHan Wu proscribed all non-confucian school of thought and espoused confucianism as the orthodox state ideology,Mohist school was close to disappear,but gradually revived until the dynasty of Ming and Qing.However,the moral character of Mo-tse has never disappeared,but has been accumulated in the national ideology and norms of conduct,thus composes the national psychology and character,which restricts and influnces man's practical life.The spirit of keeping the overall person in mind,concerning about his country and people,holding the belief that one should always be true in word and resolute in deed, staunchly righteous,making unceasing efforts to improve oneself,diligent and thrifty, curbing the violent and assisting the weak,loving for peace and defying all difficulties and dangers for the purpose of rights,not only has a deep and lasting social effect in ancient China,and influences the development of Chinese moral character,but also has profound theoretical value and be a salutary lesson to the construction of the national moral integrity.This paper is divided into six parts to disscuss the connotation as well as value of Mo-tse's moral character.The first chapter is to sum up the document,introducing the current research of Mo-tse's moral personality and evaluating the achievement.The second chapter is an introduction,showing the purpose and value of this study.The third chapter is to disscuss the connotation of moral character,mainly disscussing the connotation of personality,and moral personality as well as the construction of moral personality.The fourth chapter introduces the origin of Mo-tse's moral character.This chapter is to demonstrate the necessity of Mo-tse's moral character by organizing his life and cultural background,as well as philosophy base of the theory of life.The fifth chapter discusses the constrution of Mo-tse's moral character,mainly to detect the connotation meaning of his moral character based on analyzation on his school of thought,and give some evaluation.The sixth chapter is the reflection of Mo-tse's moral character.By investigating his moral personality,and judging the quintessence and shortcoming,this chapter is to inspect the influence and insprtation of Mo-tse's moral character on later generation.
