British artist Lucian Freud ,as the one of the most important artists who is still alive in the world, redefining the portrait and the oil painting of human sketch, he created the unprecedented techniques and the style of form which has a strong personalization ,whose works convey the fearful and indifferent of post-II world war man ,and at the same time his deep insight of the exploration for human nature breaks the more than 500 years'tradition of western realistic painting .Freud explores a new area of uninvolved realistic drawing and gets a great success .And as his style is strong and individual ,no one can replace him in contemporary art history.His artistic achievements furnishes a powerful proof that realistic drawing still has a strong vitality and it can fully embrace all kinds of artistic practices, which makes the arts reach a new peak on the original foundation . The Freud's drawing style gives more than a strong appeal to the Chinese"new generation"in the 1990s. Many artists such as Liu Xiaodong ,Yan Dongwang benefited a lot from him ,which at the same time showed his works has a unique charm across the time and space.This article is cited in Freud, focusing on statements by Liu Xiaodong,Yan Dongwang , who led the Chinese contemporary artist of realism, and their great achievements in the areas of realism ad well as their influence on the China's cultural development, which further proving realism has its necessity at the current stage of our country and still takes a a very important position.
