In the early 20th century,When modern painting groups were rising in European, the western painting exercise was constantly escalating in China.During this period the New culture was about to replace the old and people's ideas changed completely.Therefor A new strength was urgently needed in Chinese painting field to smash bonds of tradition and refresh thingsWestern modernism was introduced to Chinese painting as an avant-garde painting. in the1930s,when Chinese modernism rised rapidly and was involved in a fierce controversy with Chinese Realism painting.The early modern Chinese artists such as Liu Haisu,Pang-Chin Hsu,not only got deep and unique insignts into theory,but also committed to the practices such as setting up schools,creating associations and so on, which were immeasurable achievements in exploring the aspects of modern art.In addition, The.early modern Chinese artists had prompted the emergence of a variety of art styles and prosperity,since the slump situation of the Qing Dynasty.,Meanwhile,the early modern Chinese artistshad seized the good chance created by history times,which shorted the distance between chinese art and the world art,and laid a foundation for the development of Chinese modern painting.
