On Lizhi's "Tongxin Theory" And Its Origin

Lizhi was a famous scholar in the Ming dynasty. His"Tongxin Theory"is not a systematic Lysenkoism, but, it is the hard core in his thought system. So, many scholars have concentrated on"Tongxin Theory". On the basis of the former scholar's research, this article tries to give a new concept to"Tongxin"and a new explanation to"Tongxin Theory". Meanwhile,"Tongxin Theory"is in fact an individuation description on traditional unitary thinking mode; On the issue about"Reading can not defilade Tongxin"which is often easily be neglected, the dissertation also try to do some research. On the origin of"Tongxin Theory", the article thinks that there is a need to give up the traditional way that make independently research from Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Instead, a integrated research is a must. The reasons as follows: First, Lizhi's thought includes some resources from Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Second, on the thoughtway, Lizhi accepted the traditional thinking mode which is represented by Mahayana and the"Fuxing"principium under the background of"Benjue"thoughts. So, the article mainly analyses the process of the development about the traditional Mind Theory as well as the special thinking habit it shows. Although"Tongxin Theory"had once contributed to literature theoretics, it was finally strongly objected by the orthodox world because of the spirit of intensive social criticism. Through this research, the article tries to post the disadvantages in traditional thinking mode as well as in the Mind Theory so that it can help us make a deep reflection.
