For thousands of years, filial piety have been regarded as fairy and permeated into our national blood and bone. Thereby it has became the important cultural symbol of civilization in our national vitality which was different with others'. Since filial piety was developed by Confucian classics and related to past dynasties systems which gradually transcended it's initial ethical values which included respecting ancestor and honoring parents and was endued with cultural implication such as religion, philosophy, politics, law, education, folk-custom arts and so on had been changed to be complicated forms which related to kinship, political system, social organizations and other aspects of life custom. Therefore, filial piety not only became the core of Confucianism which is the subject of Chinese traditional culture and the nuclear concept of primary culture spirit of Chinese cultural. However, China changed lanes in morden time, and traditional Confucianism happened system transfer and integration, so filial piety also couldn't escape from the fundamental variation fate which was the first time in thousand years. This mutation not only interweaved the conflict and integration among the west and china, the new and old, but also involved the multi-level changes of official, academic and grass-roots. However, due to various history reasons, the problem of filial piety was always forbidden region before the 1980s in Chinese mainland. Then, although the academic research of decades have acquired large achievement, modern Chinese filial piety culture haven't been researched in the system of academic considerations. Therefore, the study which decompose and outline tridimensionally the history fate of filial piety during the process of conflict and amalgamation of Chinese and Western culture will be propitious to grasp the outline of filial piety culture development system evolution.This article treatises mainly from the following several aspects:Chapter one, filial piety culture in history and the history of filial piety culture, traces to the source of filial piety culture and arrange the venation of the evolvement of filial piety before Qing dynasty. Just do clear outline of masterstroke and don't do cockamamie textual research so as to supply the background of the evolution of filial piety culture in modern times.Chapter two, filial piety culture tradition of Qing dynasty before the opium war, discourses filial piety culture before the opium war. Namely, since modern times, traditional filial piety, whose feudal degree and oppression was eliminated and which was endowed with new connotations such as freedom, equality, and democracy, restored to the original state just like peeling bamboo shoot. At the same time, the process also equated with its modernization process and was full with much twists and turns because of the powerful inertia of the tradition. Moreover, as the core of the Confucianism, the modern circumstance of filial piety was just the epitome of modern fate of the Confucianism. In the wave of globalization, the modern value of filial piety culture has important significance not only in constructing the harmonious society and building common spiritual home for Chinese nation, but also in exploring the common medium of global civilization.
