The Story of Pipa, as a China ancient opera, is aimed to persuade people to be filial and loyal. The Story of Pipa mainly tells the story of Cai Bojie, who obeys and takes good care of his parents, and Zhao Wuniang, is Cai Bojie’s wife. Although the aim of The Story of Pipa is not clear now, the filial piety of Cai Bojie Zhao Wuniang and Miss Niu in The Story of Pipa is worth our affirmation and learning. In other words, It is obvious that, The Story of Pipa, carries forward the idea of promoting this two kinds of morals.This paper is of four parts.first of all,it is the introduction, which introduces the research background of The Story of Pipa, and it is mainly about the research status and research problems in The Story of Pipa. the first part expounds the general situation of The Story of Pipa, it mainly contains the editions of The Story of Pipa,the social backgrouds of The Story of Pipa, the change of The Story of Pipa and the achievement of The Story of Pipa.The second part describes the filial piety of those three main roles:Cai Bojie, Zhao Wuniang, and Miss Niu; The third part is First exploration of the relationship between The Story of Pipa and the filial piety; The fourth part introduces the current significance of filial piety, and at last, it is the conclusion.This paper is aimed to advocate and spread the traditional Chinese filial piety, and this paper trying to achieve this goal by describing and evaluating the filial piety of Cai BoJie and Zhao Wuniang, then it is the current importance of the inherit and traditional filial piety. And the new idea of this paper is that by analyzing The Story of Pipa and its aims, I want to figure out today’s importance of the filial piety. "Filial is the first", shows that being filial to parents is also our obligatory and responsibility. It is time to be filial to our parents!
