On Social Morality Of The Roman Citizens In The Late Republic

In human society,morality as being of abstract and ubiquitous,is the field of reflection of a socio-political, economic,cultural,religious and other ideologies and ideas. Thus the evolution of moral is always inextricably linked the development and changes of society.Then there are extraordinary significances that to explore the moral evolution of the society in the different historical stages to deepen people's understanding of the whole society.The social morality in the late republic is a unique perspective of understanding of ancient Roman society,and the evolution of various fields and the substance behind this evolution in the very period can be learned through it.This article is divided into introduction,main text and conclusion.Part one is an introduction,which focuses on elaborating the research status of this issue in the academic circles at home and abroad.It also illustrates the significance and the innovation of the research.Part two is a main text,which is divided into four chapters.Chapterâ… ,it is a brief review of the many virtues of the early republic,and pointed out that this was an era of noble character and sterling integrity.Chapterâ…¡,against the backdrop of the value orientation,religion,marriage and everyday life,focusing on the moral evolution of the main line, specifically discussed the moral evils of phenomena and chaos in the late Roman Republic.Then came to the conclusion:at this period in ancient Rome,the pursuit of moral and the maintenance of ethical have taken place in the decay of the substance. Chapterâ…¢,form the perspectives of foreign war and slavery economy development,increased wealth and the emergence of individualism,foreign ideas and custom as well as the failure of the system of government mainly analysis the reasons of the moral evolution.Chapterâ…£,focusing on the values,lifestyle, thinking of the psychological,we learned the impacts of the moral evolution,and the impacts of it to rise and fall of country and changes in the state system,and revealed to the monarchy of the inevitability of change.In conclusion,on the basis of the main text further pointed out that the fact of the moral decay in the late Roman Republic, and briefly describe of the reasons and impact of it.
