"There really is no such thing as Art,There are only artists."E.H.GombrichTime nurtures artists,while artists reflecting the unique time.Through describing and analyzing the development of the 80s artist and their art characteristics,this thesis is about to get a conclusion of its property,drawing an overall outlook of the 80s painters' art language.Starting from the current development situation of the 80s artists,we put our aim onto studying and analyzing the source of their guiding thoughts,status quo,developing trend and value in this time by uncovering the living background,mental status,principle of life and entertainment and their subject matter & theme.The author,belongs to the 80s too,hopes to conclude and think deeper and more on her own art creation and development by studying other artists of the same time,just as the old saying goes:You will understand the gain and loss if you take people as mirror.We conclude as below:the 80s carry on and forward of their precedent' s art spirit,adding their own straight out and innovation,express themselves truly and honestly.The 80s is a concept:mixture of happy and sad,ambition and disappointment, anxiety and restlessness,dumbness and chaos.They are growing up fast within a fast-changing environment.Some of them may have experienced success,however,there still is much deficiency in their creation.They are still growing and transforming,expecting more understanding and guiding,since they are still young.Here is a journey,open and without an ending point.We believe it' s worthwhile to analyze and study a developing phenomenon,and while the 90s emerging,new questions will be put out and new thinking needed.
