As an outstanding pianist and composer,Enrique Granados was one of the founder of nationalists in music in Spain.His music not only inherited the romantic emotional appeal of older generation of romanticism,but also creatively blended it into abundant Spanish musical elements.In addition,he explored the musical creation of impressionism.All of these contribute to the multiplicity of his music.This thesis aims to explorily research the musical style of Granados'works,focusing on《Danzas espanolas》and《Goyescas》,which have been taken granted as two of the most outstanding works of Granados in《Music Bible》.It includes three parts:introduction,body and epilogue.The significance and situation are expounded in the introduction.The body includes there sections:Section one will analyse the factors which influenced Granados' musical creation from romanticism, nationalism and impressionism,integrating his personal experiences and representative works.Section two is the main part,exploring the style of Granados'musical works at closer range from the embodiment of romantic emotional appeal, manifest of national character,and incipientexploration of impressionism.Section there expounds the aesthetics in Granados'musical works from To love-based music Regards,his lukewarm musical character,imitativeness and symbolism in music.The epilogue summarize the whole thesis,and also raise prospect.
