As an member of natural emotion school and a poet of Qianjia dynasty, Wang tan had exerted an important influence in the literary world at that time. Fashishan, who had wrote the Sing of Three Men, regarded Wangtan, Sunyuxiang and Shuwei as the Later Three Authorities in the dynasty of Qianlong.But, it is regretted that there was such few comments on him and his poetry that we cann't understand his achievement in the history of poem. In order to outstand Wangtan'achievement and contribution, This theory wants to make penetrating and powerful analysis in Wangtan's lifetime and his poetic creation, aesthetic features of poem,status and influence in poet history on the basis of predecessors.In the respect of lifetime and poetic creation,Wangtan's family,experience, knowledge, association and marriage had made a profoundly influence on his poems,so the theory will discuss the influence of his poetic creation.In the respect of aesthetic feature,Wangtan'poetry expresses a curious manner and style.the theory analyses the specific expressions from the subject, imagine, literaty quotation, rhetoric figure of speech, and the language.In the respect of status and influence in the poetic history, Wangtan isn't replaced in the poetic history of Qing dynasty.In order to outstand the special characteristics of Wangtan, the theory selects three representatives from the natural emotion school, such as Yumei, Zhaoyi, Shuwei, to compare with him. In the end, the theory analyse the weak points of his poems.
