A Study Of Guan Xiu And His Poems

GuanXiu was one of the most representative poets in late Tang Dynasty, the poems he wrote have a significant quantities which had been saved include total 735 called ChanYue until now. His experience and intelligence is valuable for our attention.The essay is include three parts, the first part talks about his daily life, friends and detailedly describe the relationship with his high status people. His poems support more details about the contact with high status people as well. The second part analyzes the context of ChanYue, he criticized the gap between poor and wealth, corrupt life of empire, also depict his daily life. This part of poem expresses his leisure life. Because poet had lived in the fortress. The last part is poet propagandized ChanZong’s poem easily. Last but not least, this paragraphs was analyzed in three different ways, mannerism; artistic languages and rhetoric. In mannerism, quiet and clear reason can be existed together. He shaped the whole poem style imagine; in artistic language way, common and painstaking can be existed together, using various forms and practicing everyday; in rhetoric way, mainly analyses the way to use poems. Finally, it influents Confucians, Taoist and Buddhism, summarizing poet had effect in lecture, art and history in Chanzong.
