The Development And Literary Style Of Epitaph In Wei Jin And The Northern And Southern Dynasties

The research of all dynasties about Epitaph had ranged widely ,as epigraphy, archeology, history and other fields. And those research were based on history, very few from the perspective of stylistic to analyze the study. This article seeks to start with the historical document from the perspective of the rheology of literary style, and through studying the changes about the literary style of epitaph in Wei Jin and the Northern and Southern Dynasties ,to sort out the writing situation of epitaph in this period , and lastly probe into the development of the epitaph. The dissertation consists of three parts:Chapterâ… to research the literary style of epitaph from the view of the origin and the development .It mainly starts from two epitaphs ,viz, the origins of Ming and the origins of epitaph .Hope to sort out the style of the epitaph in Wei Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties more roundly ,and to sum up the characteristics of the style.Chapterâ…¡for a summary of the epitaph style in Wei Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties. The writer attempts to regard Wei and Jin Dynasty, the Southern Dynasty, the Northern Dynasty as the division, to study the rheological style of the Epitaph. In concrete writing, the author consider the form of the epitaph and the style of writing these two aspects as the point ,consider all epitaphs which were collected and collated by Yan Kejun's All Articles From Three Generations of the Ancient and Qin and Han Dynasty and Three-Kingdom Period and Six-dynasties as the surface ,and consider the materials as the clue ,which ware collected in Zhao Wanli's the Explanation of Epitaph in Han, Wei and the Southern and Northern Dynasties , Zhao Chao's Epitaph Compilation in Han, Wei and the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and New Certification of the Epitaph in Han, Wei and the Southern and Northern Dynasties written by Luo Xin and Ye Wei. Through the combination of the point, the surface and the clue, the study of the development and the changes about the epitaph style in Wei, Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties will be more comprehensive. The writer will get a brief characteristics of the epitaph and influence on later times in this historical period.Chapterâ…¢for case studies on some famous writer. Through exploring the epitaph of Yu Xin ,whose epitaph was greatest in number , This chapter will analyze his representative works on " epitaphs for generals " and " epitaphs for women ", summarize the characteristics on the style of Yu Xin's epitaph, and look into the historical status of his work.Conclusion of the perspective in this study and the content on the epitaph in in Wei, Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties ,are summarized below. Appendix includes all the epitaph titles in New Certification of the Epitaph in Han, Wei and the Southern and Northern Dynasties, the book is the compilation of the literature of the epitaph in Wei Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties , during the time of the early 21st century, which add to articles with that in ancient literature, and after collection and organization ,this is so valuable on the epitaph in Han Wei Dynasty and Six-dynasties.
