The literary exchanges in Southern and Northern Dynasty between south and north was a common literary phenomenon under that time the north and south was opposite situation, the main content of this thesis is study this phenomenon.Chapter One, the Main Exchange Channels Between South and North.Envoy's activity, monk's move, war, trade and other things are the main ways making the southern and northern sides contacted with each other. Envoy's activity was the official communicated channel of that time. The envoys always were the excellent person of both sides and represented the maximal level of each side's culture .They often experienced some procedure when they worked as envoys and what they did in that time accelerated the intercourse greatly. Religion has been also one of the important approaches in that time, although religionary exchange being different from unreligious exchange, monk's move made the Buddhism being exchanged ceaselessly between north and south sides. Though war has large breakage ,it also a important way of exchange since it make the culture data and the human resources transplant in different area. Through writing voluptuous works to cater for north writer, Yuxin and Wangbao made the flamboyant style popularly in north and their style also changed by the influence of north literature ethos.Yanzhitui was another famous litterateur entering the north from south in the later of Southern and Northern Dynasty ,.different literary style of south and north was recorded in his Yanshijiaxun, his theory about the literature is accord with trend of the literary development as a result of that time literary exchange.Lanling Xiao was a rising family of South Dynasty, many members of it went to north and accelerated the literary exchange greatly. Other people also contributed to literary exchange of that time.Chapters Three, the Important People in Literary Exchange of the Southern and Northern Dynasty(â…¡)Except the exiled man, we should also pay attention to other people of that time.XuLing went to the Eastern Wei Dynasty as a envoy in the later of Liang Dynasty and he has been lived in north for seven years because the rebellion of Houjing,in this time, he associated with north writer frequently. After his returning to south, he still contacted with north writer and sent his works to north for one of his clansman's request. He also communicated with Lichang who was one writer of Northern Zhou Dynasty, the letters commented on their works.Xuling had large influence both in south and north and his works were received and studied by north writer. Above all, he advanced the literary exchange greatly. The Li family of Zhao county in Northern Dynasty is a famous family in literary exchange, its members has higher cultural level and they also served as envoy or receptionist, this brought great glory to their family.Suiyangdi was a emperor who love literature deeply, their were many writers who affiliated with each other frequently, their activity advanced Chinese literature develop to the new stage.Chapter Four: the Influence of the Southern and Northern Dynasty Literature Exchange on the Developing of the Southern and Northem LiteratureThe influence of the literature exchange in the southern and northern dynasty was also embodied by the literature creation in south and north. The impact of the north literature on the south literature embodies mainly in the creation of the Yuefu poem, some men of letters of south consciously used the north music in literature creating because of the enter of the Northern Dynasties folk songs, but their creation showed much style of the south literature. The impact of the Southern Dynasty literature on the Northern Dynasty literature embodied in many aspects, such as the same creation of Yuefu poem, many titles which showed much south style or appeared originally in south were applied by the north author, while using these titles the north author mostly following the style formed in south, the north author also studied and imitated much about the south style in some other poem creation.
