The Research Of Zhang Mojun And Her Poems

Zhang Mojun is a revolutionist,writer,educator,women activist,calligrapher, collector,and an active advocator of democratic ideas in the modern history of China. She emphasized on women's rights and engaged in educational reform and newspaper, in order to call for people ideologically.But she had bad luck in her lilfe, experiencing the internal and external chaos caused by wars,while she always maintained an optimistic attitude towards life,promoted equality between men and women,contempted of feudal ethics,and maintained a positively democratic ideas, constantly explore new political and educational reform,concentrating efforts on "transform China" dream.Zhang Mojun devotes all her life to writing poems and pays attention to using regular language and rhyme.The subjects of her poems rang widely such as history,wars,and patriotic feelings,even that the democratic ideology is also an important theme of her poetry.She can use old style but contain new contents,new artistic conceptions.She is good at the poem with seven characters in a line,for she became fond of Chinese traditional poetry when she was young.Her poems have different characteristics in various stages of her life.During early years of her life,the style of her poems is close to Jia and Meng's style.In the sencond stage, her poems was gradully close to Dufu whose works were also effected by social thoughts and the current situation they were living.During the old age,the arts and skills of her poems become much mature than before,which means that she can control emotion.Her poems in a elegant style were more for entertainment in the last stage.On the basis of analysing Zhang Mojun's poem systemically in this paper,we value her social activies and discuss the aesthetic features and the poetic images with inherent implications.We explore the theme of the times so as to find the reasons of changes in her poems.
