Yan Song And His Poem

Although Yan Song was notorious for his reputation, he was still held as a talent person in Ming Dynasty. His bad reputation on politics affected his fame in the literary, which made his poems can't obtain enough attention and understanding. Based on sorting out Yan's poems systematically, this paper studied the characteristics of the poems, analyzed their value, and analyzed and reflected the literary activities through Yan's political activities. We can draw the conclusion that the stage of Yan's political activities is consistent with the stage of his literary creation value.The characteristics of Yan's poems were different among his different life stages., By integrating the making friends activities in Yan's different life stages with the literary creation, this paper analyzed the influence of his making friends activities on his literary activities. Owing to the different objects of his making friends activities in the different stages, their influence on his poems was different. In the early stage, when Yan hidden and studied in Qian Mountain, the making friends activity with the Revivalists influenced his poems creation directly. The contents of the poems were most the description of the scenery and life in the mountain and the poems were pretty, clean with the flavor of mountain and primitive simplicity, and the feeling was sincere and natural. When Yan was in the middle position of all country administrators, the extent of his making friends activity extended to those whose positions were also in the middle and low hierarchy. So, his poems were branded with the middle and low hierarchy culture and the contents were usually what the middle and low hierarchy officials sang. The sources were relatively narrowed, and the style tended to be elegant and polishing the writing with less feeling. After Yan was in cabinet, he tried to control the literary world by cracking down on the Latter Seven Son who were against with him in politics and fostering the Tang and Song party. However, generally speaking, he was failing. Because he usually flattered when he was a high official and didn't want to write poems, the contents of the poems were not worthy of appreciating and their artistic value was low. However, when he resigned from prime minister and returned his hometown, Yan's poems were relatively sophisticated. During the process of analyzing the characteristics of the poems and their style-shaping causes, we present the relationship among the poems and the relationship among Yan, the Former and Latter Seven Son and the Tang and Song party, and present the particularity of the moral quality and poems'quality which reflect on Yan.
