The Guqin Esthetics' Heritage That Has Close Relation With Practice

The music of Guqin and its document have close relation with the ancient intellectual group.These intellectual were not only the writer of Guqin document,also were the actor of music;From Confucius time,Guqin and Se(Chinese ancient musical instrument) were already one of necessary cultural training of ancient intellectual.So the literature of Guqin esthetics was not void,broad,but were particular and had close correlations with performance and creation so on。This article according to the development characteristic of ancient Guqin esthetics about performance,divided the whole history into three development phases:in the early aesthetic ideology stage,including the pre-Qin,Han dynasty,dynasties;in the induction period,including Weijin North-South,Su,Tang,Song and Yuan dynasties;in the flourishing time,including Ming and Qing Dynasties.This article discussed and analyzed the Guqin esthetics about performance,and attempted to clear off its developmental process,simultaneously argued that esthetics should combine with the concrete artistic practice.Those theories had not only significant influence in contemporary art of Guqin, also in understanding of national musical instrument performance,Western musical instrument performance and so on.Meanwhile to other artistic forms,such as performs in opera,poetry,handwriting,also had very great use for reference.
