Modern Chinese students as a group on the stage of history, the Qing government in 1872 began to send young children to the United States of America, followed by groups of students continue to grow。This group of students who study the modern western civilization, with its extraordinary intelligence and amazing stamina for doing the study of modern Chinese made pioneering contributions to the cause. Especially on the preparation and development of modern navy and post-war reconstruction are outstanding contributions.In this paper includes three parts: the first part, the situation of the students who study in English and French.Focuses on the process of two studying in abroad activities and the situation of studying overseas.It is these students that makes the late Qing has the backbone of the navy.The second part, the great impact of the students who returned from English and French in the late Qing dynasty Navy. The parts includes three important periods about the late Qing Dynasty naval: the period of building the Navy,the period of the war between Cina and Japan,the period of the war between French and the period of rebuilding the navy after war in order to proclaim the importantion of the students in those phase.The third part, students of the late Qing Dynasty brought the new characteristics about the Navy. Through the contrast between the traditional navy and students studying overseas in the Japanese navy in order to analy the interest and losses about the late Qing Dynasty navy.This paper attempts to explore the influence of students who study overseas during every periods of the late Qing Dynasty naval and expects to better interpret the relationship between the students and the late Qing Dynasty naval.
