Along with the rapid economic development, people get caught up in materialism, surrounded by money, desires and modern life's extravagance and delusions. Moreover, ethnic minority traditional cultures'value is facing decline and blight crisis. In this context, China and Vietnam's writers along with the age of progress in self-knowledge and adaptation; social development as a theme, having the value of traditional culture and taking man's desires and so forth to consideration, reflected in their writings.In the early 20th century, in both the Chinese and Vietnamese literary scene, emerged two works of literature, with unique, fresh, quality voluminous novels;"White Deer Plain"and"Ghosts Fighting", both having rural families'in certain aspects, history as the breakthrough point, astonishingly similar: The contents use unique reality to skillfully reflect the essence of life; written down were the rules, laws inter-family power struggles and disputes over profit amongst closely associated individuals; written down were about human life and human's way of thinking. In an artistic aspect, these two works involve the national tradition, a wealth of folk culture; furthermore, the two works were from different locations: Chinese writer Chong Zhong Shi in the"White Deer Plain"work, reveals the depth of the real history, pays tribute to family ethics,"Virtue and Morality", of an ideal personality. But in the"Ghosts Fighting"work the Vietnamese writer Nguyen Khac Truong grew up and faced Vietnam's social development boldly, reform and opening up era to the impact in rural areas, especially at home, the issue of farmers, Virus, Ugly, and ignorant, naive altogether.From this, I believe that"White Deer Plain"and"Ghosts Fighting", these two works have special significance and value in anytime during the respective novel's history. This paper is a primary means of comparison of two works'preliminary comparisons, and analysis of Confucian ethics and culture, character analysis, characteristics and survival conditions and exploring real life.
