Contradiction Is Of Human Nature

Wen YiDuo is a great master in modern Chinese literature history,his correlated contradiction phenomena has been concerned.However,the contradictious phenomena in his poems are still worth study.According to read about Wen YiDuo's poems and based on the obvious and concealed phenomena,a pilot study for categories was done and more special study has been tried.For instance,after an relative collecting of the contradictious phenomena in Wen YiDuo's poems,then the contradictious context and character were revealed.There are contradictious phrases,peripeteias in sentences,reversed comparisons between sentences,and inversions between paragraphs in his poems. These utterances form a special rhetoric and strengthen both emotional delivery and significance.On the aspect of poetic imagery,there are contrarieties of beauty and ugliness,peace and turbulence,suppression and resist.These contrarieties mirror the contradictions of poets inner side,the conflicts between individual and society,and chaos of society itself.Analysis of the way in description which presents a hot interior but a cold exterior,reverse comparison,intentional ease,,etc.Further,the titles were also analysed in contradictious ambiguities.All these details illustrate there are relative contrasts between the formation and content and concealment in signification.On the inner emotional side,emotional peripeteia and inside struggle drift in opposite.These emotions are either concrete or abstract,indicating turbulent conflict inside of poet.A superficial study about the concepts,which are vision of love and vision of Chinese culture,in his poems, showing Wen YiDuo's confusion and steadfastness.Overall,Wen YiDuo's poems present a style with a turbulent exterior and a peaceful interior. Besides,this thesis also combines the poetic theory,social and cultural description,the background of his experience,character,poetic opinion and related vision of culture.These details imply the reasons why the contradictions exist in his poems.First,his life indicates inconsonance between himself and outside environment.In addition,there was flaunt and suppression,where the rationality always supressed emotion.Third,his poetic opinion focused on internal elements, individual value of art,a calm way in art expression and also social function.Last but not least,despite the permeation between Chinese and Western culture,he still insisted Chinses-oriented culture.This made him full of complicated state of mind so that he needed to take more responsibility for family and was anxious about national destiny.
