The Enlightenment Of The Limit To Growth On Human-Existence Contradictions

At present on the background of the globalization trend,both the increasing economic growth and the advanced development of science and technology make tremendous changes of the way of human being's production practice and its way of life.However,such changes which have brought an unprecedented human well-being are also leading the mankind to face a serious crisis of its existence contradiction. Therefore,it is of a very positive theoretical and practical significance to understand the current state of human existence,to analyze and explore solutions to the existence contradictions while promoting the society to develop sustainably,healthfully and scientifically.The theory of Limit to Growth from the Club of Rome has captured the attentions explosively throughout the world since its first report "Limits to Growth" published,which attracted the close attention and eager both of domestic and foreign scholars to discuss and study the contradictions of human existence and the future development of human society.At present,academics in China study the theory of Limit to Growth mainly from the aspect of the ecological environment or sustainable economic development.While this paper is striving to study the theory in a global view,from a high degree of philosophy,on the basis of the theory of Marxist social history(historical materialism),using ways of contradictions analysis,entering from a new interpretation of the limits on the growth of thought,and would be inspired to get the solution of the contradictions of human existence.This paper will be divided into three parts.First of all,it sums up the idea of limit to growth on the background of the globalization,specifically introduces the process of its formation and development,elaborates the connotation of "human predicament";Then,it will dialysis the contradictions of human existence from the perspective of the theory of limit to growth on "human predicament".Here,this article will trace the evolution course of the human-existence contradictions and sum up its present status on the basis of which the paper will explain in detail the human-existence contradictions in the areas of economy,science and technology,the values and so on.These are the goods alienation,scientific and technological alienation,rational alienation and existence alienation.And then analyze deeply the objective and subjective causes of the contradiction;Finally,affirm fully and recognize correctly the reasonable core of the limit to growth on the basis of the above two chapters' summary and analysis and the Marxist on social and historical theory.Try to obtain the useful enlightenment of resolving the contradictions between man and nature,man and society,man and mankind.And build up the three-dimensional layout of the nature - community - mankind.That is,we should recognize the intrinsic value of nature and establish the ecological concept of science; we should foster global awareness and system concept and build a harmonious world order;we should enhance human qualities and realize human self-worth.
