On The Establishment And Action Of Shandong Anti-Japanese Base Area

Shandong Anti-Japanese Base Area was established under the guidance of the Party's lines and principles.Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Shandong and with the help of part of the main body of Chinese Eighth Route Army,it organized Chinese armies to struggle against Japan at that time.It was one of the five anti-Japanese base areas(Shanxi-Suiyuan Area,Shanxi-Chahar-Hepei Area, Shanxi-Hebei-Henan Area,Hebei-Shandong-Henan Area and Shandong) in northern China,and the hub of northern and central Chinese anti-Japanese base areas.Shandong Anti-Japanese Base Area occupied an important historical role in the War of Resistance against Japan.Cooperating with one another,Shandong, Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan,Shanxi-Chahar-Hepei,and Central Chinese Anti-Japanese Base Area persisted in and developed anti-Japanese guerrilla warfare and struck massive blows at the Japanese aggressors.Shandong has a vast territory and the total area reaches 153,000 sq km with complex terrains,including Tai,Lu,Yi,Meng and other mountainous regions,Lakes of Weishan,Zhaoyang,Dushan and Nanyang, and broad plains.It was convenient to wage guerrilla operations.Originating from the ancient Qi State and Lu State,Shandong has a large population(38,000,000 before War of Resistance against Japan) and rich resources and it was an ideal place to provide soldiers and quartermaster.In this paper,the author tries to discuss the establishment and historical role of Shandong Anti-Japanese Base Area.The paper is divided into three parts:the first part analyzes the military strength and economic strength between China and Japan,and how Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China expanded on the strategic policy of establishing Anti-Japanese Base Area by the Central Committee of Chinese Communist Party(CCCPC) and thus created a new situation of Shandong anti-Japanese guerrilla warfare with its instructions.The second part expands on the establishment of Shandong Anti-Japanese Base Area.The three part expands on the historical role of Shandong Anti-Japanese Base Area.According to the data in the thesis, as the hub for northern and central China anti-Japanese base areas,Shandong Anti-Japanese Base Area cooperated with the other bases and persisted in anti-Japanese guerrilla warfare and struck massive blows at the Japanese aggressors,so it occupied an important historical role in War of Resistance against Japan and the global anti-fascist war.It has made great contributions to persevering in armed resistance and winning final victory.
