In the development of Chinese modern new poem history, Dai Wangshu is a milestone. His poetry demonstrates and indicates a variety of trends of the new poetry. On the road of mixing eastern literature and western literature, Dai wangshu make a great contribution to the national construction of Chinese modern poetry. He builds the national characteristic poetry with his unique poetry writing. His poetry was influence not only by Chinese classical culture, but also by foreign poem tributary particularly a symbol of French poetry. Recently, the literature researcher pay more and more attention to the national character of Dai Wangshu's poetry. This paper attempts to analysis two questions from the angle of the traditional Chinese poetry and culture's impact on Dai Wangshu's poetry in the perspective of constructing national characteristic literature. The first one is Dai Wangshu how to implement the national construction at the integration point of eastern and western poesy. The second one is that the poet how to convey the feeling of modern life by traditional humanistic emotion.In addition to introduction and concluding, this paper is divided into three chapters.In order to highlight Dai Wangshu's significant function in the national character construction of new poetry history, the author card people's different opinions and experience of the new poetry's national characteristic construction in the history. At the same time, the author further elaborated her opinions about literature's national character. Then taking the poetry melody as clue, the author card three stages of Dai Wangshu's creation process and discuss the two time of evolution on constructing new poem national character. And the author point out that the direction of Dai Wangshu's aesthetic sense of the basic direction of displacement reflects the development of modern poetry historical direction.The second and third chapters discuss Dai Wangshu's successful experience of constructing new poetry national character from form and content respectively. The fist section of chapter II discusses question from image which is the integration of Chinese and western poesy, as well as traces the imagery source from traditional and contemporary angle. Then we conclude that Dai Wangshu always use classical imagery prototype which contains the traditional poetry culture. However when he creates image, he always use combine symbolic imagery and artistic conception. Chinese and western poetry both have symbol skill. The similar part can be the integration of Chinese and western poetry. The western poems are too abstruse and Chinese poetry are too single and simple. Dai Wangshu abandons this disadvantage and enriched and expanded the connotation of Chinese poetry imagery. He created modern imagery with multi-level structure and meaning. He promote that the modern translation of traditional poetry imagery which is emotional and simple. The western poetry images lack of emotion and entirety which he overcomes by using the images of artistic conception .The image and emotion of Dai Wangshu's poetry is seamless with distinctive national characteristics. In the second section of chapter II, we analyze aesthetic features of Dai Wangshu's poetry artistic conception from the generation way of mixing scene and feeling, true and abstract structural characteristics and endless Lingering charm.we take the melancholy emotions as the basic point which cover Dai Wangshu's poetry. We discuses the life feeling of the poetry from love,sad fall and homesick. The life feeling not only contains modern meaning, but also has classical meaning, we analyze the national characteristic of his poetry content First of all, Dai Wangshu love poetry, in some sense, is modern interpretation of lovesick subject of wen and li's poetry, which apparently impact by later period of Tang Dynasty poet in performance of the privacy of love and use much female imagery. At the same time, love of life experience to become a poet one of the main elements, which reflects the modernity of Dai Wangshu poetry. At the same time, love became a main element of the poet's life experience, which reflects the modernity of Dai Wangshu poetry. In a word, Dai Wangshu love experiences and qualities are modern, but he has a classic and traditional expressions. Secondly, the subject of sad Autumn in Dai Wangshu poetry deeply impact by Chinese classical literature, the poet present the modern loneliness and the sentiment of youth annoyance by traditional themes of chant autumn, which enhance the aesthetic tension of the poetry. It is Better to understand the melancholy feelings of the poetry by comprehending the death awareness which hidden behind the subject of sad Autumn. By analyzing the Dai's and other poems, we can also find the death imagination and writing of the poet belong to the typical system of Taoist culture. Finally,the idyll of pastoral nostalgia in Dai Wangshu poetry is an outpouring of tradition human feelings, which full of oriental poetry charm, and the image of wandering and tired travelers affect by the unruly travelers of Chinese ancient poetry. At the same time, the image of who searching dream and nocturnal travelers has the obvious impact of Western symbolism, which constitutes a creative motif of the modernity means.The conclusion of this thesis point out that ,as a poet who impacted by Chinese and Western culture and literary, Dai Wangshu actively looking for the integration points of Chinese and Western poesy to create their own nation's modern poetry. His experience of constructing national character of modern poetry tell us that we should be base on psychological mechanisms of national culture, the national spirit as the soul, absorb the foreign literature Arts nutrition, when we build modern time characteristics of the national character of Chinese literature in the context of globalization.
