The works of the western missionaries who came to China in late Ming and early Qing dynasty has been one of the hot focus in various field of history, culture and Philosophy because of its own Trans-cultural and interdisciplinary character. Especially in recent years, the literature studies of scholars on missionaries' documents also achieve remarkable results, Li shixue's "On the Late Ming Dynasty & European Literature" as one famous example. In related thesis study, scholars discussed Jesuits whether to preach Jesus or not from historical, cultural and theological perspectives. Gianni Drivellers in the "Preaching Christ in late Ming China" proved that the Jesuits did preach Jesus Christ through a large number of materials. However, what kind of Jesus preached by the late Ming Jesuits has yet to be studied in depth. This paper use the relevant methods on comparative literature to analysis Jesuits' rewriting on Jesus story in Gospels and from the mainstream culture of late Ming in the context to analysis the causes of this situation.This paper has three parts. There are the introduction, the main text and the conclusionThe introduction part, first makes the document summary to the domestic and foreign correlation research results, determines the origin of this research, the case theory and the research theory method.The main text part has three chapters to elaborate.First chapter mainly elaborates Jesus in Western Christianity culture, including narrative Jesus story in Gospels and Jesus images of trinity in ancestor religious doctrine, the double nature of being god and men. The second chapter mainly preaches how Jesus was by the first batch of Jesuits in China in the late Ming dynasty. In the four Chinese works of Jesuits, they pay great attention to the narrative speaking of Jesus story but very little elaboration on the content of trinity and God-man nature, and selects increases, deletes even tampers methods to preach the Jesus story. Down to the Jesus story which spread in the Chinese late Ming dynasty comes from the Gospels prototype but also differ from them. Third chapter through studying the explanation of idolater and instead teaches about Jesus story discusses the characteristic of Chinese mainstream culture and the necessity to rewrite the Jesus story.The conclusion part, analyzes theoretically on the winding process and the reason of the Jesus story spreads in China,then summarizes viewpoints of the text.
