The Study On The Relationship Between School Adaptation Of College Students And Their Adult Attachment

The school adaptation not only impacts on the physical and mental development of college students in directly, but also has far-reaching implications on their development of adulthood. At the same time, it has a great value for the future development of society,too. In recent years, the college students of psychology schools in the area of adaptation has become a hot issue, related research is increasing. The school adaptation of college students is influenced by various factors, the relationship between attachment styles and school adaptation among them is a factor not admitting ignoring.360 students in Soochow University were participated in this experiment. Through the depth interviews, the preparation of the questionnaire, initial testing, modification of the questionnaire, we authorized the《the Scale on the School Adaptation of College Students》. Then another 628 students in Soochow University were the study object, the scale above and《REC》of Chinese version were the research tools, we investigated the relationship between school adaptation of college students and their adult attachment styles. In the end, we analyzed the relationship using the SPSS13.0 statistical software.We got the following findings in this study:(1) The self-edit scale《the Scale on the School Adaptation of College Students》contains 50 topics, posed by four factors which is the academic adaptation, Environment adaptation, Self-planning and interpersonal adaptation. The questionnaire has good reliability and validity, so it can use for study the question about the adaptation to college students.(2) The total average about the school adaptation of college students is 3.38. it shows the adaptation situation of college students is better.(3) The secure attachment students performed better in school adaptation than the insecure attachment students.(4) The proportion of secure attachment that One-child college students formed is higher than the non-only- child college students.(5) There is a significant correlation between the school adaptation of college students and their adult attachment styles.(6) The adult attachment styles of college students have some prediction for their school adaptation.
