The school adjustment of college student, not only affect their current physical and mental development, but also affect their social adjustment in future. So,it should be concerned.For problems in previous studies,this study used more systematic and comprehensive local scale to study on the school adjustment of collge. For the perspective of adult attachment , explore the relationship between adult attachment and school adjustment, and introducecoping style as mediator, consider the mechanism between the three,to provide a scientific basis for mental health education and improve the level of collges'school adjustment.This study take questionnaire survey as main method, using Experiences in Close Relationships Inventory, Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire and China College Student Adjustment Scale. All the data were processed andanalyzed by spss18.0. Through the variance analysis, the correlation analysis and regression analysis, draw the following conclusions:1. The school adjustment of college student have differences in gender. As a whole, the adaption level of female students is significantly higher than male students.2. The school adjustment of college student have differences in major . The adaption level of liberal arts students is significantly higher than sciences and engineering students.3. Urban and rural differences in school adjustment is mainly reflected in satisfaction. Urban students'satisfaction level is significantly higher than rural students.4. The school adjustment of college student have differences in grade. The adaption level of sophomores is significantly lower than others.5. Both attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance have significantly negative correlation with school adjustment ,and the two factors can also make negative prediction for school adjustment.6. Both postive coping styles and negative coping styles have significanty correlation with school adjustment, and postive coping styles can make postive prediction for school adjustment, negative coping style can make negative prediction for school adjustment.7. Coping style can play a mediator role in the adult attachment and school adjustment.This study enriched related theory, and on the basis of empirical, obtained some useful lessons for psychology counseling of college.
